Last week I went to the ‘Your Future, Your Choice’ event at the Floral Pavilion.  The event was very well attended  by children, parents and carers from all over the Borough.  The day was a display of available resources for youngters with learning difficulties and disabilities.  There were many stands offering advice and an explanation of their services. Many of the children had a chance to try different experiences : –

“One of us is Brave!”

Some of the children made me fully participate : –

Councillor Steve had the worst result of the Foxfield team!”

There were numerous organisations to help.  If you missed the event and would like details of these helpful groups please contact me.

Town Meadow Lane Development

Monday, October 15, 2012 posted by Steve Williams

Last week saw the opening of the first shop in the long awaited redevelopment on Town Meadow Lane

Town Meadow Lane
After years of campaigning, particularly by my colleague Cllr. Chris Blakeley, Debbie from Deborah’s Style House moved her business into one of the brand new shops.  Two other businesses in the adjoining shops are to open very shortly.  Once they are in operation, the development will then continue with the building of the new houses which will complete during 2013.

I have spoken to a number of local residents and they are delighted with the new look shop, and with the plans for the rest of the development.
