Baroness Warsi
Today, together with fellow local Conservatives, the Leader of the Council, Jeff Green welcomed Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Co-Chairman of the Conservative Party to a meeting with us at Wallasey Town Hall.

She spoke with us about challenges facing local government as well as the AV Referendum and the local elections next week. She took a keen interest in how much the Conservative-led administration had achieved in the last year, and urged us to continue to get the best for Wirral.  She then took questions from a number of us, to which she gave direct and informative answers.

The Baroness then went with Jeff Green, to the Royal British Legion in Wallasey, along with Cllr Karen Hayes and Leah Fraser, to meet veterans and their families organised by Combat Stress, the UK’s leading military charity specialising in the care of veterans’ mental health.
