In February I assisted in promoting the “Wirral Leukaemia Awareness Day” at West Kirby in February, on behalf of 22 year old Candice Colley and her family from Thingwall.
The day was a great success with 408 new donors signing up with the Anthony Nolan Trust.
Today I have received the excellent news that two matching donors have been found for Candice, one in Spain and one in Texas. Her doctors are hoping for a stem cell transplant to take place at the end of April, beginning of May.
