Having had complaints from residents about local bus services I have met with a number of operators to discuss their routings in our area.  The complaints were particularly from the Millhouse Lane area with the re-routing of the Route 39 not going through the estate.  The good news is that Impera have agreed to change the route again, and the 39 will go through the Millhouse Lane estate.  Due to legislation though this will not commence until the 29th July.

I asked if the new Route 98 (Town Meadow Lane to Liverpool) could be re-routed though Millhouse Lane instead of Bermuda Road.  Impera have also agreed to this, again from 29th July.

I have also spoken Arriva about the Route 437 (West Kirby to Liverpool) with a view to asking if certain services could call at Saughall Massie via the Upton-By-Pass.  I am awaiting a meeting with the General Manager of Arriva to try and further this.  This will be particularly important as it looks like the Route 47 which presently runs from Birkenhead to Saughall Massie will be re-routed to go to Arrowe Park Hospital from Upton, thereby not routing via Saughall Massie at all.

I will keep campaigning for good services to our area and if you have any views regarding transport please let me know.
