I am pleased to have just learned that despite Thomas Cook closing up to 200 retail stores across the UK, our local branch on Hoylake Road is not presently under threat.  This is particularly good news as we have just lost ‘Fun Times’ the cafe and soft play for children shop, which was next door, and closed last month.

Thomas Cook is very well established at it’s current site, 294 Hoylake Road.  Prior to Thomas Cook, the site has been occupied by AT Mays, Worldchoice Carlson and originally Deeside Travel, all Travel Agents.  There is another business opening shortly and I will update on that when I can.

My colleague Cllr Chris Blakeley and myself are extremely concerned about Moreton losing High Street Businesses and are currently having talks with the Council’s Interim Strategic Head of Development & Regeneration to see what we can bring to Moreton’s High Street.
